To all: Thanks for the information, advice, etc. I bought it. $3700.
It's in my back yard as we speak.

Now that you've been a sailboat owner for a few days, I was wondering.
Have you had a chance to launch & sail it yet? And if so, how'd it go?
Another thing, I know someone shopping for the same thing. If you'd
like to flip it and make a quick buck or two (but not many more) let
me know. Btw, I'm not a dealer. Just asking around.
Mainly though, I'm wondering what you think so far about the boat and
how your venture into sailing is coming along.

Nah, I'd have to go with the boat if I did.... my wife was the one
wanting to learn to sail! I haven't launched it yet, been studying
sailing, and working on it some. It's in really fine shape, I got a
good deal. Installed a new VHF, and a few things, but there's not much
else to do to it, just wait until warm weather, besides I'd have to
look for a ramp at Lanier that's still open because of the drought. Do
you live in the Atlanta area?

Nope. I'm on the Gulf Coast, half way between New Orleans and Mobile.
But it's an easy ride from there down the Intertates. I used to make
that run on a regular basis and still make the trip occasionally.
Hopefully by Springtime you'll have some water to sail on. I hear
y'all received a .25" or so last night. Another 15-20 feet and you'll
be back in business ;-)

Yep! I figure about 500 more of those gully washers and we'll be in
business! There's still plenty of water in the lake, in reality, it's
just that all of the ramp's ends are 6 feet in the air!

Perfect opportunity for someone to lenghten those ramps.

Don, they're owned and operated by the Army Corps of Engineers, and
they don't have the foresight to do anything like that. They'll decide
to do that at full pool, build cofer dams, etc. to make it much, much
more complex and costly than it needs to be!
