Default Freighters beware...

I spent the day yesterday at a facility that trains merchant marine
officers, sort of learning how to operate simulators for the bridge of a
freighter, a tanker and a tug.

I only hit the Golden Gate Bridge twice. Well, actually I sideswiped it.

Took a couple photos of the arrays, which I will post later.

Not quite, in our "let's be positive NG", I believe you were just
helping the crews to scrape the rust for the next round of re-painting.

Thank you for your assistance...

I would think that would be frowned upon by the locals.

Harry, Any job worth doing, is worth doing right.

Guy I know is an SF Bay Pilot. He goes to (I think it is) Scandinavia for a
couple week simulator and miniature boat driving course every couple of
years.

But you also do not have a license to pilot ocean going freighters.

I saw a documentary on that facility - it's pretty amazing.

They have these scale model boats that are used to simulate the
handling characteriistics of full scale ships.

Pretty cool.
