I tried some "Brand X" carts in my photo printer and was NOT pleased with
the color results. I'm back to Canon carts. Takes eight of 'em at about
$11 bucks each. After my experience with the non-Canon carts, I'm not
about to try refilling carts with non-Canon ink.

It seems to be a "your mileage may vary" thing. I have an old OfficeJet 300,
and when my home office orders ink, they buy either the HP cartridges, or
the store brands from OfficeMax & Staples, whatever's cheaper at the time.
Both store brands work fine.
