I have an aquaintance that grew up in the San Pedro area. He tells of taking 14' O/B over to Catalina. Lot more HP than 2. Said his guardian angels had to be doing a good job. As he survived. Jetskis make the trip all the time, but at 40-50 mph, you are looking at less than an hour travel 31 miles from Alamitos Harbor to Avalon. We were planning on going over last Monday for an overnight, but the winds told us no. |

That was a fun trip, and not too expensive. We came back by ferry and sat with the older kid (Wally?) of 'Leave it to Beaver'. Fun trip and a nice guy. |
