I predict Cleveland will take an early lead of around 3 runs.

The rest of the game will yield nothing for either team until the 7th or 8th
inning.

The Red Sox will then rally and take a two run lead.

5 to 3 ..... Red Sox.

10 - 4 Sox win.

Tribe takes early lead - Dice Clay chased in the second, bases loaded
Wakefield is brought in to relieve and pitches perfect ball.
Westerbrook pitches well into the 4th, chased in the 5th and the
Cleveland relief staff folds like a cheap suitcase.

8th Okijima, 9th Papelbon - game over.

Or so I hope anyway. :)

Another front runner.......

No offense Harry but based on your previous comments I would guess my 2 cats
know more about the Sox and the Tribe than you do. ;-)

May the best team win!

I won't argue that point.

Now that's a prediction. After that play by play, I guess there's no point in watching the
game. ;-)

*Predictions* here on the final score of this game are as credible as Bill

Of course if you had said Hillary, you would not have to qualify

No question about that, big time, embarassing for all concerned.

I really thought *your* team had the Sox on the Rox but it's looking
doubtful now. That bad call at 2nd base is going to get a lot of post
game discussion, might even lead to a MLB instant replay system.

I'll tell you that the Yankees are a class act. When the Sox won in
2004, the opening day ceremonies at Fenway included the Yankees and
they were all in their dugout watching and applauding. And give old
George credit - when the Sox won the ACLS, they kept the lights on in
Yankees Stadium so the celebrations could continue.

And of course, one of the more memorable moments in baseball, came
during the introduction of the players - Rivera got a standing O for
giving up the winning run. I'll never forget it - he tipped his cap
to the crowd with a big grin on his face and the place went nuts in
appreciation.

Baseball - gotta love it.

I sort of half expected the Yankees to offer him a front office job to
keep him in the organization.

Touchy, touchy. The river did catch fire you know, it's not like I
made it up. Nor did I invent the unfortunate expression "rust belt".

Like my own home town in upstate NY, I'm sure Cleveland is a good
place to be from.

As W.C. Fields once said about Philadelhia: "First prize, one week;
second prize, two weeks".

On my last business trip to Cleveland I drove to the airport in a
blinding snowstorm and got out of Dodge on the last flight before they
closed the place down. Never went back.

I now live in a place where snow is illegal and the water is not
Eerie. With any luck you'll be able to do that some day. There are a
lot of "Ohhhies" where we live now. They come down on I-75 in the
winter and drive very sedately in their white GM cars. Everyone
cheers when they leave in the spring and highway speeds return to
normal.

PS, all returned insults *must* be in good taste, and at least
moderately creative. No 4 letter words, no bathroom humor, no
kindergarten krapp, and a brief mention of boats or water would be in
keeping of the newsgroup's intended subject matter.

Too bad about your "Tribe". They looked pretty impressive for 4
games.

Damn Yankees..... mutter.
