Sorta like dead fish. :} I'm amazed you never picked up on my comment on Cleveland, that life there "ended" with the demise of Szell. He was, as you know, the preeminent conductor of his time, and when he wielded the baton, the Cleveland Orchestra was, simply, the best in the country and among the best in the world for interpreting the classical composers. |
