Should I bother changing the oils?

Yes. Combustion products that got into the oil when it ran started
eating away at the lubrication properties of the oil. This
continues indefinately on used oil. Make TWO notations for oil
changes in all your vehicles....miles/hour as you are doing
now....and SIX MONTHS (time). Even if you only drive your car 500
miles in 6 months...change it every 6 months.

There's a 1973 Mercedes 220 Diesel parked outside my door that
attests to how good this 6 months oil change is for engines.

Oil is REALLY CHEAP in comparison to new engines and overhauls!
