Well, if you get tired of watching the girls, Favre is putting on a
show in Lambeau on the Peacock Channel...

Guess it's time to stop poking the big bear, water is getting cold
Finally going to put up some vid of the new engine. I "repaired" the
prop (filed down some of the flat spots and it really runs along.

Damn Yankees.

Good pitching beats bad hitting every time. You heard it hear first.

A-Rod should get the "Too little, too late" award.

You got nuttin' - 'ya here me, nuttin'... :)

This is going to be a great series. Big game pitchers - this is going
to settle the AL Cy Young that's for sure.

Sabathia/Beckett, Carmona/Schlling, Westbrook/Dice Clay,
Byrd/Wakefield.

I thought Wakefield is hurt..........bad back. Your #4 slot it not looking
good.

Westbrook is too iffy. With the number of days off in this 7 game series I
hope they go with a 3 man rotation:

Oct 12 at Boston - Game 1 - CC
Oct 13 at Boston - Game 2 - Fausto
Oct 14 - Game break
Oct 15 at Cleveland - Game 3 - Byrd
Oct 16 at Cleveland - Game 4 - CC with Westfield available
Oct 17 - Game break
Oct 18 at Cleveland - Game 5 - Fausto
Oct 19 - Game break
Oct 20 at Boston - Game 6 - Byrd
Oct 21 at Boston - Game 7 - CC with everyone but Byrd available

With Wakefield hurt the Sox may do the same thing. The edge on this
rotation goes to Cleveland.

That's a ton of great pitching.

Tribe's got Borowski, Sox got Papelbon.

The only real pitching advantage I see is the middle relief and set up
- Sox got Okijima and he's something else now that he's rested.

Our late inning relief is pretty good. Borowski is scary to watch but he
had the most saves in all of MLB this year.

Hitting? I'm not all the familiar with the Indians - Sizemore had
some good production, Hafner - maybe. Sox have a ton of big game
hitters.

We are not the powerhouse like the 95 and 97 Tribe.

I still give a slight edge to the Indians if you tortured me just
based on overall performance. :)

Vegas is giving the advantage to the Sox. But then again, they gave the
nod to NY in this recent series.

I doubt you will see any blowouts on either side except possibly in games
3,4 and 6.

Do the Sox get paid extra to have to fly to Cleveland? :}

He's day to day at this point, but at the moment, it's looking like
he'll start game Four. And with the way that the Tribe cooks lefties,
I doubt the Sox will use Lester. The only other option is Tavarez and
he's not a back option for a solid 5 innings.

hope they go with a 3 man rotation:

Oct 12 at Boston - Game 1 - CC

Ew..tough rotation. We'll see what happens. Weather is also going to
play a part in this - it's supposed to rain Friday which could really
put a monkey wrench in the gears rotation wise.

With Wakefield hurt the Sox may do the same thing. The edge on this
rotation goes to Cleveland.

Well, I'm not sure about that. Sabathia and Carmona are both power
types and that's red meat for the middle of the Sox order - not to
mention Lowell batting fifth who leads in doubles. And I can't say
that, from a pure baseball perspective, that you have any edge over
Beckett or Schilling - both proven big game pitchers.

I see the rotations as pretty much with the exception of the Tribe's
propensity for beating up lefties.
