You're talking to a guy who has done Army bivouacs in the snow with a pup tent. We thought it was tough at the time and then you look at some of the recent WW2 footage of guys who spent weeks and months like that. Same thing in Korea I guess. Had a Master Sergeant who was at Frozen Chosin with the 1st Marines. That owuld not have been fun for me - I hate being cold. |

t fun let me tell you what.) Meanwhile we are still awaiting our first sighting of a LT Parker. Most of the boats out on the bay seem fairly substantial but we are not yet south of Annapolis where most of the elusive LT sightings have been reported. I'm keeping the camera constantly ready for an on water foto op. Stay tuned. Keep us posted. I've heard tales of LTPs in the lower Bay area. A susbtantial reward will be offered for any images of same. :) At one time there were many LTP on the Lower Bay area, but they were all swamped and are now oyster beds. |

Take another look, Scotty- it was *another poster* who answered the question about your previous handles in the NG. I merely stated that you had been posting here for years. Chuck is correct. I am the one who highlighted some of your previous posts but I don't regard that as "outing" some one. Everything we post on Usenet is preserved for history somewhere. Google knows all and tells all. That said, most of us who have been around for awhile recognize writing styles, ISPs, geographic references and other little factoids that make it difficult to hide behind a new handle. How many conservative leaning boat builders, on the Connecticut River, and active on the internet do you think there are? Just another good reasons to take political posts somewhere else... If you had not answered John or Jim I forget which. I would have, it was a legit question. The retort by Chuck was designed to create the question however, it was deliberate, and calculated... That's all.. |
