Ahhh. Are you offering me advice or are you sticking up for the kinds
of posts Dan puts up here?

Frankly you and Dan and John are becoming a bit tedious.

Just my 2 cents worth: Why not just stick to a well worded flame once
in awhile if you must?

Right now you're all sounding like Bertie the Bunyip. Remeber him?

I suggest you spend a day doing something worthwhile and count up the
"number of insults" Herring or Dan or Reggie toss, compared to the
number I toss, or, even better, the division between "insults" and
content-based posts of your favorite participants.

Harry,
I have to correct you on this, I don't think I have ever insulted you
are called you names.

I don't know, Harry.

Didn't bother to make it through all of the 63 posts in this thread
but it looks to me like you "fishing" was pretty successful.

What can you expect with a LT? Wet Feet?

Here's yet another of the many daily attacks from "Reggie Smithers",
a frequent rec.boats poster, and if you count them up, you will see
how
little he adds here in boating/fishing content or interesting reading.

Harry,
How is this a daily attack?

That's easy, you went after his transom.

How low (LT) can you go? Harry is very protective of his aft most
parts as well he should be.

We'll be in Chesapeake Bay for most of October and will be
strategically well positioned for confirming or denying reports of
extreme LT weather. I'll be on close look out for DLTPs (Distressed
Low Transom Parkers) and will take pictures of all sightings for
review by the group. Yo Ho Ho... :-)

Meanwhile today, off the mid New Jersey coast, 120 miles north east of
our LT hero, it was like a lake. People were bopping around in the
Atlantic Ocean with 13 ft Whalers like it was a walk in the park.

If it were still summer, it would have been one of the finest days of
the season. For late September, the weather was absolutely
spectacular.

Today was a georgeous day here also. I didn't get out, but spent half the
day at the local golf course. Beautiful weather. Can't wait for the new
boat to get here.

Gee - I spent the day clearing brush.

Where did I go wrong? :)

Went to the street fair for our Heritage Days, and looked at the Model A
club cars, talked to a guy I worked with in the 60's and 70's. And then
come home and looked at the wife's cars brakes as they seem to be only
working on the front end. Is a 1996 with rear drums and an adjuster was
stuck. Probably from the days when I used it to launch a boat into salt
water. Rained yesterday, which is also not normal and temps are 15-20 below
normal. Installed a new door to the family room yesterday, as wife wanted a
6 panel to match the rest of the house.

As a compatriot of some of the past Usenet greats, Gharlane of Eddore,
Deacon, James Boe (once Usenet's #1 on the Usenet's Top Ten Most
Wanted) and a participant in alt.fan.tom-servo flame fests, this bunch
is pretty sad in the flame department. :)

Someday, when I get around to it - assuming that I even want to get
around to it, I plan on writing the definitive history of Usenet and
some of the all time flame war greats.

Sadly, I will have to have somebody else write my chapter. :)

Ah - those were the days.

It's not my problem if a perfectly innocent and personal boating related
post is seized upon like red meat by a certain element here.

Yeah, well I hear low transoms are a boats' version of a unibrow;)
