Caught about 15 spot on Berkley bloodworms and very small hooks, dumped them into the livewell, and went in search of big fish via livelining. Caught a few blues, one decent sized striper, but he escaped. Neighbor who accompanied me caught a keeper striper. May try again tomorrow if the forecasted wind doesn't materialize. Didn't see Herring out there. Rain and thunder kept me in, but that's OK.... it gave me time to work on the AM/FM/Satellite install...... Do you really fish for Herring? Naw. Usually I buy a block of frozen Herring and grind it up for chum. Here, though, if you put out a tiny piece of bloodworm, the Herring will bite on it 20 times a day, apparently. (My filter collects headers, not contents.) Here's yet another of the many daily attacks from "Harry Krause", a frequent rec.boats poster, and if you count them up, you will see how little he adds here in boating/fishing content or interesting reading. |
