Shakin' his head...
Well, Tom came by today to take a look at an engine I am putting on.
Poor guy just stood there most of the time shakin' his head. The rest of the time he spent chuckling and mumbling something about a "big piece of crap":0 I am not sure if he was talking about the boat, the engine, or both;) Oh well, just to see him there shakin' his head was almost worth it;) Almost. I just don't get it, what's not to like? It's even got a low transom!! |

We got boats:) Well he has a boat, I have a pile of old lumber that came together in some kind of storm;O |

After a tasty and healthy dinner of hamburgers and (5 star) hotdogs That's one thing I miss about the Midwest - decent bratwurst and really good Chicago hot dogs. With real pickles. |

The best real kosher style pickles in a jar, and sauerkraut, too, come from Batampte Pickle Products Inc. |

Do not know the brand names, but when I lived in Dayton, OH for a year and traveled to Chicago, had lots of good dill pickles. When I was a kid here in the Berkeley area (a ling time ago) we used to get some great pickles also). Now seems to be just the chain brands. |

Batampte is not a chain brand, and I'm not sure it has distribution much beyond the the East Coast. The varieties the company makes are traditional Kosher dills, and taste exactly like the Kosher dills and sour tomatoes we used to buy at the Kosher supermarket in New Haven's Westville Jewish section. I'm sure there are good Kosher deli pickles on the left coast, but I doubt you've ever encountered one. |
