Not SAE and AN fittings.Look at steel break lines and gas lines and you will
see the double flare. Keeps the cracks from generating a leak.

Oh.... OK... as far as I know doubles are all 45 deg..... although a
quality crimper costs a fortune and the flares are a PITA to make....

I have a double flaring tool buddy gave me about 40 years ago when I built
my race car. Was a pain to get the flare right, but was fairly easy to do,
if you worked slowly.
