The imaginary wife and two of my fictitious kids spent the day on the lake.
My main objective was to relax and try to finish up Michener's book on South Africa. I did not succeed. The kids kept messing with me, so I finally got into the water. My daughter went trolling for studs at the marina. I finally got out the boat hook and chased the horny dogs off. Life with an imaginary boat is mega cool and from what I have read in rec.boats, much cheaper than the real thing. |

My main objective was to relax and try to finish up Michener's book on South Africa. "The Covenant"? Good book. Have you read "The Source" yet? Life with an imaginary boat is mega cool and from what I have read in rec.boats, much cheaper than the real thing. ROTFL!! Beat me to it... |

I always have to spend a few weeks after reading Michener researching the characters trying to figure out who is real and who are composites. My wife hates Michener because as soon as she gets into a character and/or plot he moves onto the next one. |

I don't like everything he's done - he sometimes gets a little carried away with the historical research and the plot/characters get buried in minutia. "The Covenant" is pretty good though. |

She looks great with all her canvas off, and a graceful but pronounced flare in the bow draws admiring glances from fellow mariners. (She can be a lot of fun in head seas). Now, I'm talking about a boat- of course :-) |

The only problem I can see with it, is when you have a nice boat, you do have a tendency to use it. Now imaginary boats allow you to talk about boats, and still post 24/7 in rec.boats. |
