That's how it works. It's called deep pockets. You are missing one obvious possibility. The deep pockets may well belong to the plaintiff. I'm sure the attorney won't care where the money comes from..... as long as he gets paid. However, you do point out that these groups assembled by a concurrence of wills form these associations thinking of a one way street.
