The difference between a war story and a fairy tale: War story -- "This ain't no ****, but....." Fairy tale -- "Once upon a time..." Other than that they're pretty much the same. -- John H I think Tom is a little more straightforward than that. I'm betting he'd either say he didn't want to talk about it... or he'd give factual info not embelished or jazzed up in any manner. So, you get that think on the water yet? You find the "present" I left on board??? Say what? See a bunch of funny little dark things I took as rabbit turds. That it? Today I started playing the game of getting the trailer registered. Went down to the Dept of Motor Vehicles only to be told that I have to take the trailer to a Canadian Tire Corp auto service dept and have them do an inspection to make sure your lax 'merican standards comply with our Canadian ones. (thought that was why I needed to make sure the 'compliance' sticker was on the trailer) If the mechanic is happy, he stamps the customs Form 1 paper I received at the border and then I go back to the provincial gov't dept to register. I hope the mechanic can do a safety check at the same time..... otherwise it's back to another mechanic after registration. After that I have to register/license the boat because the motor is over 10 hp As we speak I'm charging the battery up with the small nifty charger. I plan on hitting the water this weekend..... if the weather is good. Might even take it down to the beautiful Bras d'Or Lakes in Cape Breton. Well keep us posted! It sounds and looks like a boat built especially for a man and his dog. What does the wife think of it, now that she's seen it in person? |
