Default shift cable bellows ripped

The bellows/boot on my 1998 Alpha one is ripped. Is there an easy way to
replace it?
Are special tools required?

I have rebuilt cars, jetski's and snowmobile but have never touched an
outdrive.

Don't plan on replacing just the bellow. You can buy a complete shift cable
kit that includes the bellow. Pay close attention to how the shift cable is
routed. It's important. The only special tool you will need is an extra deep
socket, or drill out the end of a 3/8 drive extension so the cable guide
will fit into it. You will understand what I am talking about when you pull
the cable core out.
