Hi guys

The Rev Counter on my Bayliner has stopped working.

Now i've not yet looked, but does anyone have any ideas to the
problem, what to look for or had similar problems themselves.

Many thanks
Simon

When my tachometer quit working, I sent it to the manufacturer who repaired
it. It was still in warranty.

Mine had a ten year warranty, separate from the warranty on the boat. You
might check with the manufacturer and see.

Try this:

Purple wire should be the tach power.
Black wire will be the ground wire.
Gray wire goes to the negative side of the ignition coil.

1st: Check the Black wire to see if you still have a good ground.
2nd: Check the Purple wire for 12V.
3rd: Check the Gray wire for continuity.

If everything checks OK.... you probably have a toasted Tach...

If rev counter is the same as tackymutter, you might need to change a
setting. I hope it comes with instructions ..
