....the pieces and parts that make up the new Yo Ho are either awaiting
assembly or... Dealer confirmed today that he expects to see the boat "sometime next week" along with some of the other Parkers on order. I'm still awaiting a manufacture date for the new trailer, which I did not buy from the boat dealer. I'm guessing the trailer will arrive the week after next. I'm almost starting from scratch with this trailerboat, as the buyer of Yo Ho the First pretty much cleaned me out of things like trailer hitch ball, trailer lights to truck connect wire, various small trailer locks, yada yada yada. Picked out a Raymarine feeeesh finder. Easy choice. Yamaha offers a "shop at the dealer's store" instant rebate, and I had been considering a Ray unit anyway. Dealer sells Raymarine stuff. I'm going to use an AirMar "tilted" through-hull transducer. It has almost no profile out the bottom of the hull. Also decided to go with a new Garmin chartplotter and I've reverted back to my original idea of starting out with a handheld VHF. If it proves to not have enough range, I'll install a fixed unit. Got an estimate on a storage cover. Now that was a giggle. A cover for this exact boat from one of the national suppliers runs about $350 in Sunbrella. The custom maker wanted $2350. They must be inhaling something special in that place. |
