Damn man.... :) Yeah, so. I have another boat with 600 hours on the engine. I don't use this boat much, so I'm selling it. It looks damned close to brand new, and the replacement cost is close to $80,000. You could buy it for less than my asking price, trade in the Yamaha for an etec, and have a damned nice fishing boat with an enclosed electric toilet AND other niceties Mrs. SW would like. Tom, On your next trip between home and your son's you need to stop by Harry's and check out his "other boat". I understand it is a beauty. By the way, you are being generous with 40 hrs a year. A 2003 is sold in the summer of 2002, so this is really it's 5th season. That would make it about 25 hrs a season. |

Tom, If I had to leave a boat unused for long periods of time during the season, I would fog the engine and stabilize the fuel. Isn't a boat just as susceptible to rust and corrosion from April till October as it is during the winter months? |

If you use a boat in salt water, then I would agree, but fresh or even semi-fresh, I wouldn't worry about it. It's like a car that sits for a while - same concept. Two stroke? I would consider it if, say, I only used it once or twice a month for whatever reason. |

I have read people looking for used fishing boats for sale, there are over 200 used used fishing boats listed for sale at Tidal Fish. Some really good deals: http://www.tidalfish.com/classifieds/showcat.php/cat/4 One great deal in particular that stands out. FOR SALE and Priced to Sell! 2003 Parker 2520XL with Yamaha F225 2003 Parker 2520XL with Yamaha F225 four-stroke and top of the line LOADMASTER aluminum trailer with stainless steel brakes and torsion axles is for sale. This rig has about 115 hours on it, and has NEVER spent the night in the water! Always maintained by the book by the selling dealer. Bottom has never been painted, and is as slick and shiny as the day it came from the factory. Equipped with second station, bimini, washdown, electric toilet, refrigerator, wet sink, stovetop, top of the line electronics, including second fish finder at second station. The GPS is a Standard Horizon unit, the main fishfinder a Furuno color unit, the secondary fishfinder is a grayscale Lowrance, and the VHF is an ICOM. Also has fuel flow meter. Fuel tank is close to full - holds about 170 gallons. Asking $58,999. Make a serious offer and this beauty is yours! CHECK THIS LINK FOR PICTURES AND CONTACT DETAILS: http://www.tidalfish.com/classifieds...duct=923&cat=4 Perhaps for your overuse of petrol, but not for mine. Boat cruises wonderfully at 25-30 mph, burning 9-11 gph with a boatload of folks aboard. She'll run 39+++ mph at WOT, but then you'd be burning close to 20 gph. No thanks. I didn't think you'd fall for such an obvious troll. ;-) I didn't; I used it as a sales opportunity. Not that there are more than three posters here to whom such a boat would be appealing. |

JimH, Unlike some of us, I don't post weather reports and screen shots of the weather in my area, and what my plans are since i am not boating, but since you asked, it has been pouring down all morning. The forecast is for isolated thunderstorms through out the day. My wife and I plan on doing some housework, and getting caught up with stuff we have put off. I think I will eat lunch and dinner today. We have invited over some neighbors, my wife is talking about cooking some stuffed flounder for dinner, and then play cards afterwards. I will make sure to let you know if I have any change in my plans or if their is an update in our weather. Thanks for asking. |

My suspicion is that he is a short little ****, scared to death of everyone he has to deal with in his life, and that he comes here "anonymously" to escape from that existence. |

Harry, At 25 hrs a year, you are "almost" boatless, so i can understand why you wonder if others actually own and use a boat. If I posted a .wav file of my boat's horn, would you believe I had a boat? |
