"Nice Shooting" from a SSGN

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oy8rn_OhQDg Nice video of the recent shots from the USS Florida in the Gulf of Mexico to the target zone at Eglin. There's quite a bit of 'literary liscense' in the last half of the video since many of the shots shown were from China Lake tests. Also the final scene of the boat executing the emergency blow is a Fast Attack so it wasn't the Florida. Notice the large non-retractable mast (can't remember the actual name) that is attatched for such tests (so the camera ships can know where to aim to catch the missile as it leaves the water) is missing from that shot but was obvious during the scope images of the launches. Stock footage. BB I guess everybody has some mountain to climb. It's just fate whether you live in Kansas or Tibet... |
