A little salt, pepper, and garlic powder along with some olive oil,

then put that corn on the grill, and you'l have some really great

Is that after you boil it, or no boiling at all? Do you wrap it at all? I've
never had much luck with corn on the grill....

Not boiled, just husked and cleaned. I put it directly on the grill,
and it only takes a few minutes. Turn them frquently to prevent
burning, but you want a little browning.

You can also leave the husk on and soak if for a few minutes in water,
wrap in seasoning and foil, them throw them on the grill.

Add a bottle of white zinfadel

OK... you had me until you wrote that... :- Zinfandel is red, and it's
supposed to be made that way! Ok, I'm just havin' fun... and it sounds like
that's exactly what you had.

My evening was similar, except it was chicken on the bbq... along with the
corn. We all (wife, 2 kids) had dinner on the patio, with hawaiian music in
the background... nice. Oh yeah... wine too, but it was a cab.

..........north winds again and the Lake is capping. Maybe it will
settle down later as the wind is supposed to shift by mid afternoon.

Go see the new Bruce Willis movie and forget about the boat for a couple
of hours.

Good idea but I hate movie theaters and crowds.

We ended up doing some yard work, took a nap together, watched some TV
then grilled some scallops/shrimp/mushrooms (lots of garlic and butter)
scewers along with boiling some fresh corn on the cob on the side burner.
The dinner on our deck was topped with some classical music. Add a
bottle of white zinfadel, a blue sky and a beautiful wife for company and
it was a perfect way to end the weekend. ;-)
