Any experience with this unit? It's a monochrome display.

I like the Lowrance units betters, and I've had Furuno and Lowrance.
Look at the Lowrance X96, about the same price. I bought a color Furuno
for my Parker and it's ok, but I've seen much better from other vendors
in the same price range.

And you've noticed that it picked up fish better? You've never been into
a school of fish that were hitting and the Lowrance unit wasn't picking
them up?

Quality of display is better?

What about bottom trace? Is the Lowrance better at that? I would like to
be able to pick out bottom structures if that's possible with these
units.

Yes, I think my Lowrance unit does a better job of picking up objects in
the water column and on the bottom. My Lowrance is a greyscale unit, so
a direct comparision of display quality is difficult. I believe my
Lowrance is an X85. It's at least four or five years old.
