"Bryan" wrote in message ... Sea Ray sent my latest quarterly magazine with an article on cleaning materials to avoid. What do you think about their statements? Disclaimer: Yacht Brite is mentioned several times so it may be a Sea Ray product or it may be a product they just happen to believe in. 1. Dish Soap: Harmful to fiberglass. Try Yacht Brites Brite Wash instead. 2. Windex: Harmful to plastic. Unless your windows are made of glass, try Yacht Brites Serious shine. 5. Soft Scrub: Too abrasive. Try Yacht Brites Pro Polish to clean, seal, and polish fiberglass and gel coat surfaces. 6. Pledge: Damages Isinglass. See no. 2. I think it is an advertisement for Yacht Brite products. ;-) Uh, yeah, I was beginning to get that feeling. There are all sorts of soaps out there that don't strip off wax. I use one with lots of water and big soft sponges. Works fine on everything. |
