Lyman? You said Lyman? Beautiful boats. I grew up where they were built.
Maybe someday I'll have one myself. John "JimH" wrote in message ... wrote in message ps.com... Heck, I even drove the single screw Lyman from the beach to the marina and docked her flawlessly. |

The old Lyman factory is now a restaurant, bar and marina. http://www.lymanharbor.com/history.htm My friend's Lyman is docked at the same slip and same marina (http://www.romps.com) since it was built........with 3 previous owners. We dock near them. |

He used to launch his boat at the marina we were at then he opened his own. That seemed to get the juices flowing as other marinas started opening in that area. Parents still live in Avon Lake. Me? I'm down here on salt water in Va Beach. Then again weather is nicer down here. John |

We have lived in Avon Lake for the past 15 years (my wife grew up here and depending how old you are her father may have been your teacher or football coach at AL High) and docked at Copper Kettle some 20 years ago. We drove past that marina yesterday and the slips are mainly empty. Va. Beach is a great area. My wife's brother lived there for years while serving in Norfolk (a Commander of an aircraft carrier) and we visited there many times. |

You were way past his time although he was installed in the AL Hall of Fame in the late 80's. 2. All I know is that my BIL was a Commander and served on an ACC. After that and up to his retirement he served at the Pentagon. Perhaps his time on the ACC was as a Captain. Bucky Koff now owns most of the property in the city...............Buckyville. |

I've known about Bucky since I was in high school when he was just
starting out. He built crap houses back then too. Terrible things. Of course home owners love new homes that are built like junk but look good. Phooey! "JimH" wrote in message ...
