Well, there is at least one other possible source, the earth's core. Friction from fluid movements keep the core quite hot. There are a few scientists who have postulated, that changes there, may in fact, be heating the oceans and contributing to global warming. I'm sorry but I can't find the links where I read this. I don't buy their science or logic, but I think this is a representative link: http://bioresonant.com/news.htm Nah, that deep-earth reactor theory, I believe, comes from Herndon: http://www.pubmedcentral.nih.gov/art...gi?artid=58687 But, it is not what I was referring to. Somewhere, I was reading that the earth's core is not symmetrical, but, IIRC, more pumpkin shaped, and due to movement, was heating the earth's crust with variable output. I don't know if I buy it. My theory is, there are scientists who have spent there entire careers studying climate. If they can't be sure, I figure neither can I, even with the help of Google. ;-) |

Not a denier, but I am somewhat skeptical. Besides, with 1/2 the world's oil supplies already burned, I don't think we have enough left to make a difference in the world's climate. |

Not a denier, but I am somewhat skeptical. Besides, with 1/2 the world's oil supplies already burned, I don't think we have enough left to make a difference in the world's climate. I don't think there is any question in my mind. They do not want to lose control of the worlds energy markets, weather oil, grain, hydrogen, Al Gores carbon scamits, etc. But as much as I am snickered by the recent spikes in oil, I have most of my life enjoyed pretty reasonable energy costs. I wonder out loud that if "Big Energy/Corp" maintained control, and stayed in front of the curve, if they would not go back to making a good living, without killing us, as they have done over the last half century. Also wonder who else has the money, resources, and motivation to do and finance the r+d on alternative fuels/energy. Shall we have someone Like Hillary "take that money from the big oil companies and give it to folks who will put it toward r+d for alternative fuels". (HC in a recent speech). Quite frankly, in this instance I favor the capitalist over the socialist, I think big energy will lead the way to the next generation of products. And as I noted above, it's not just big oil, Dow is in partnership too, and they do know a little abut r+d. |
