How many responses have you gotten? Was this the only guy who spent any
time
at all discussing it?

About ten, but most are time wasters and wanting a deal right off the
bat. This was the first actual looker.

I think you should be patient, but make the process as painless as possible.
When I sold my Taurus, I had an accurate list of essential repairs it
needed, with prices from my mechanic. He'd also provided suggested time
frames for the repairs. The ad said it needed work. When people called, I
told them I wanted to make them aware of these things immediately, and
offered to mail/fax/e-mail the list. This shut down probably 8 of the 10
inquiries, especially since one of the items was the AC compressor, an
expensive item. So, I didn't have to waste much time on the phone. I finally
got a call from a woman who said her boyfriend liked working on cars. He
came with her to see the car, and spent a couple of hours looking it over.
They stopped back the next day with a check from her bank, and the car was
gone that day.

When selling a boat, I always work hard to avoid dealing with brokers

do business.
Tripe, anyone?
I have always loved cow stomach, may I have some more?
I freakin' knew it.

Weirdo... :)
I was in shopping in a supermarket in Spain , I thought I was buying
sliced chicken breast, it ended up being tripe (they shrink wrap
everything and did not have it labeled). Talk about something with no
flavor and is a chewy as shoe leather. But when you are hunger you can
eat just about anything. I found I just needed to sprinkle more curry
on it.

I'll bet there were *lot's* of people speaking Spanish in that supermarket!

(SSSHHH! Don't tell Jimmie I said that!)

That tripe must have been well-cleaned, very often it smells really bad
when cooking.

Kinda like chittlins. Sometime I'll tell you the difference between
hand-slung and machine cleaned...

It was cleaned well, it just did not have any flavor. I think it is
like Tofu, it takes like whatever you season it with.

Not only was everyone speaking Spainish in Spain, but it isn't the
Spanglish that I am used to. I would order a common Puerto Rican, Cuban
or Mexican dish, and they would have no idea what I was talking about.
And don't get me started about what they consider Pizza.

On a positive note, I love the concept of Tapas when you order a beer.
If the bartender liked you, you got the good Tapas, if not, it was a
dish of peanuts.

The worst pizza I've ever had was in Italy. Even the Turks in Germany made
better pizza than the Italians. The best, for the money, is at Costco!

Herring thinks Costco has the best pizza? He probably thinks the Colonel
or Popeyes makes the best chicken. What an uncultured slob.

Costco for pizza? I wonder where Herring went in Italy for pizza? A
hardware store?

I disagree with John's opinion of Italian pizzas. I thought the ones they
cooked in a brick, wood-fired stove were awesome. Different, but still
awesome. The crust was thin, just a small amount of sauce and toppings,
then hosed down with olive oil. They stuck it in the brick oven for about
40 seconds, pulled it out, folded it in half and served it dripping from all
the oil.

The worst pizza pie I ever had was made in Italy also, pretty much the way
you described it except the sauce consisted of chopped up tomatoes and
nothing else.

Thanks, Harry! Coming from you, that's a hell of a compliment. At least I'm
an *honest* uncultured slob.
