![]() wrote in message ups.com... Dad says the old family name was Amerault. She married an Englishman, Hanabal, and they moved to Boston, Gloucester, and eventually back to Maine. We are spread all along the coast. He talked of finding an Amerault Hill Rd. once in their travels, but could not remember what town. They would vacation in Peggys Cove when they were not searching old records or milling around old grave sites. I think that's acutally where he wants to visit along with Digby. We got a lot of info over the winter including a DVD of Halifax. Looks real nice. They never taught us anything about the war or the Titanic graves in school, seems a shame. Sounds like a French Acadian name. Just south west of Digby and almost down to Yarmouth is called the French Shore. http://www.pbase.com/mucker/acadian_shore interesting background info.. http://www.gov.ns.ca/cmns/notebook/story.asp and.. http://www.destination-ns.com/common....asp?AreaID=1A |
