![]() "Calif Bill" wrote in message ink.net... "Danlw" wrote in message . .. My Carver boat has twin Volvo Pentas with duo-prop outdrives. The trim switches are not working well, though there is power to them. This has four switches in a row, up/down for port and starboard and then a separate two-way toggle switch for the trim limit override. Google has failed me as I can't seem to find a source for replacements. Did talk to some of the local dealers, but ones says it is a Volvo Penta switch, the other a Carver switch. Did email Carver, nothing yet. Anybody know a source? Thanks, Dan Since it is multiple switches may be some connection to the panel. As to switchs, pull one and see what it says on the side of it. Volvo, Carver, etc, all buy them from a switch manufacturer. And multiple manufacturers make the same exact looking switch. Try http://www.cherrycorp.com/ for a look. I did check one set on the lower helm--no maker name, some numbers no one seems to thing are a part number. I am sure they do get them from the supplier of the month. Wish I could find who a few were. So far, I have called three parts places and they carry "switches" but not a set of four like mine. I have though of modifying the panel to take four separate ones, but kind of a pain given how they are mounted. The other thing leading me to believe it is the switch is that they are only powered with the ignition on, so the port only works with the port ignition on and same for starboard, and neither works right anymore. |
