Has anyone bought a boat off Ebay before. Thanks It seems priced a little high to me, but then again, I'm spoiled when it comes to paying for boats. Low ball the guy at $11,500 - the way the market is for these kind of boats, you might even want to try $10,000 - you never know. As to buying off eBay - you takes your chances. If I bid on it, I'd want it surveyed at least and have the trailer safety checked - it looks like a retro-fit trailer and older than the boat. At the minimum you'll want contingencies on the sale like acceptable inspection and actual run on the boat before I came across with the money. It looks to be in good shape. I know people who have purchased off eBay and been very happy. I also know people who have purchased off eBay and gotten screwed. Those who got screwed didn't take the correct precautions. Are you sure you want a 23' bayliner bubble boat? Just about everything about it is a compromise. It's really too small to be comfortable as an overnighter or to deal with any serious water. If you're shopping in that price range just get yourself a good day boat and forget about sleeping on it. My 2c. |
