Welcome back, Dave! Thanks Chuck :-) Glad to see you're still around, and in the marina business. Weren't you thinking of taking up school teaching a few years ago? Yup. Been there, done that, even got a shirt. Way better money, far less work, and yet here I am still in the friggin boat business. I teach when time permits still, but less so every year. I think I've clocked in a whole 8 days since Sept this year. The folks who have found this site since your departure will be pleasantly surprised with the depth of your experience and willingness to share. Here's hoping nobody takes off on some crusade against you (like before)- you were always an asset to the group. I don't recall a crusade per se, although I do admit to being somewhat flabbergasted by Karen's insatiable appetite for baiting. I had to exit to get some control on my time since I was going to university full time, and still managing the marina full time so something had to give. I guess it's time for an update though. With the fall of OMC and the subsequent purchase of Princecraft boats by Mercury, I am also a full line Mercury dealer now (as well as retaining my Johnson/Evinrude dealerships). Been a steep learning curve getting on track with Mercury, but we're getting a handle on it. Now I can wax poetic on more brands :-) Nice to see some old faces still here - but where's Skippy? -- Regards, Dave Brown Brown's Marina Ltd http://brownsmarina.com/ |
