Default guess about fuel-consumption

hi all

i would like to know how much fuel a boat will need.
i know, this is not easy to answer, but a guess will be helpful.

think about a boat with 1000 Kg and a 10 jears old outboard-engine with
45 HP.
i will drive with full power, while gliding over a flat sea with 35 KM/h.

what do you think how much fuel i will need ?

If you run out... then you need more fuel.

My old 15' fiberglass bowrider was probably about 1400 lbs. It had a 1982
70 hp merc outboard. (I'm told this motor was really mislabelled 55HP) It
would cruise at about 50 km /hr and would go through about 10 liters per
hour.

With the given information, I would guess at about 16-19 liters per
hour.
