Isn't it close to the spring thaw back there?

Sure as hell isn't close here.

Still six inches of ice on the lake.

~~ mutter ~~

Although, according to the weather bozos, we're supposed to be in the
high 50's during the day and low 30's at night for the foreseeable
future.

Bye bye ice.

I hope.

What? Are you kidding? It's gonna be 87, yes... that's 87 degrees
here on Sunday. The wife and I will be burning some expensive boat
gas.

If it stays nice to Sunday, off comes the boat cover.

Which means it will snow again.

Can't win.

Snow? What's that?

Oh... Send some of that ice down our way. We need it for the cooler.

:-)

I'll bring it with me when we come down in two weeks.

I think we've turned the corner, so hopefully you'll have nice weather
when you're here. Sometimes spring only seems to last a couple of
weeks and then it's hot. That's our payback for the mild winters.

You're right. I fail to see the humor in anybody spending the day
watching for opportunities to make nasty personal remarks and then
excusing it all as an attempt to be funny.

Especially when that same person *wails* about unwelcome private
emails and other imagined insults in this same forum.

Yep..

That pic reminds me of the old Ten Years After song by Alvin Lee,
especially the first two lines:

Lyrics for: I'd Love To Change The World

Every where is freaks and hairies, dykes and fairies;
Tell me where is sanity?
Tax the rich, feed the poor, till there are no rich no more.
I'd love to change the world - but I don't know what to do,
So I'll leave it up to you.

Population - keeps on breeding, nation bleeding,
Still more feeding economy.
Life is funny, skies are sunny, bees make honey,
Who needs money? Monopoly
I'd love to change the world - but I don't know what to do,
So I'll leave it up to you....Oh yeah,

World polution, there's no solution, institution, electrocution,
Just black and white, rich or poor, them and us,
We'll stop the war
I'd love to change the world - but I don't know what to do,
So I'll leave it up to you....and good luck
