A friend insists that I wash and wax my boat while before I re-launch it for the season. How necessary is that? Will it rot if I don't? -- Stan I wash, polish and wax my boat before it is splashed for the season. I also wash and wax the boat most every time I take it out from mid June to September (when the water is warm enough for me to jump in at a shallow sandy area). If I cannot get in the water I wash the boat at the dock before taking it out. I may be compulsive/obsessive but I like my boat to look clean when I take it out, even for fishing. ;-) Yeah, my friend is like that, too. What I want to know, though, is whether or not it's necessary to the well-being of the boat. -- Stan |
