Even though they are beautiful animal wild creatures are unpredictable. Dolphins have been know to ram into humans and killing them. Do you know that more people are killed by captive deer than any other creature? A killer Bambi? Eisboch It is amazing the amount of useless information I have learned since being out on disability and having tons of free time. ? ;-) this sounds like one of those "facts" that are repeated over and over so many times that people actually being to believe it. Did you know 74% of all statistics are made up?- Hide quoted text - - Show quoted text - I can believe it. http://youtube.com/watch?v=LOih4QMgTVs Tim, You saw a very vicious deer attack, but both the deer and the hunter walked away. One can believe anything one wants to, and is the reason we see so many urban legends running rampant, but if you look at the real statistics of animal related fatalities: http://www.flmnh.ufl.edu/fish/sharks...riskanimal.htm Deer attacks are not even listed. As I said, it sounded like a fact if it is repeated enough, people will believe it.- Hide quoted text - - Show quoted text - Agreed Mr. Smithers. I posted that because deer arn't "Bambi" they CAN be dangerous. Here in 1994 a local kid was approaching his wounded deer, and wastrampled to death. I know it's not going to be on a listing of viscous animal attacks, but it's proven. Deer may be cute, but they can be deadly. Wow.........it looks like Smithers/Jim Gallow is really worked up over my initial statement about deer attacks. |

@n59g2000hsh.googlegroups.com: On Mar 13, 8:17?pm, "Stan (the Man)" Now, in an attempt to bring this back on topic, I have a question for the group. A friend insists that I wash and wax my boat while before I re-launch it for the season. How necessary is that? Will it rot if I don't? No. But it will look better. Thanks. That's what I wanted to know. -- Stan |

I guess it all boils down to how one prefers to maintain their possessions. ;-) Actually, in here it's even simpler than that. It's just boils down to asking a simple question and getting a simple answer, as Tim gave without assuming facts not given. Thanks. -- Stan |

Will it rot if I don't? -- Stan I wash, polish and wax my boat before it is splashed for the season. I also wash and wax the boat most every time I take it out from mid June to September (when the water is warm enough for me to jump in at a shallow sandy area). If I cannot get in the water I wash the boat at the dock before taking it out. I may be compulsive/obsessive but I like my boat to look clean when I take it out, even for fishing. ;-) Yeah, my friend is like that, too. What I want to know, though, is whether or not it's necessary to the well-being of the boat. It will help protect the gel coat, but if you keep your boat at a marina with the same side to the sun all the time, you will get fading no matter what you do. But the gel coat will be in good shape. Thanks. -- Stan |

Each time I wipe down the boat after use, I use McGuire's Spray wax. Give a little wax as you dry the boat. |
