"I'm planning to give the boat to the kids, although I've not figured out exactly how to do it yet. But, right now the boat is being stored and maintained at an annual cost of about $3300, and it's getting very little use." *- JohnH, rec.boats, August, 2006 Let me see if my memory can recall the name of somebody who posted to this forum for *years* without owning a boat. (I think he finally bought an older runabout). Hmm. Can't quite conjure it up. However, if I really put my mind to it I'll bet the name will come to me. :-) IIRC, that person used to say, "Boat ownership is no prerequisite for being a boater or participating in discussions about boating". If we can remember who that is, we might want to ask if he or she still feels that way. |
