I've been thinking that rolling might be taught fairly quickly, but I was watching a young guy last night who had a huge belly on him and as a result his CG was so high that he was struggling quite a bit. I think typical students might need three or four hours, but a special case like that guy... I don't know. Hmm, I bet it had a lot more to do with being unable to snap at the hip than an elevated CG. If you think about it, it seems that belly fat is pretty much centered pretty close to your CG already. --riverman (CG impaired) |
