I tried it with four different browsers. The three based on the Gecko
engine, worked fine. The fourth, Dillo, didn't render the background image.

I have never heard of Dillo. Does that require special coding or
perhaps a doctype statement?

It's a very small graphical browser. The binary is @350K. I don't use it
much, as it is somewhat limited, but you did ask for input. I don't think
it's the doctype statement. I'm guessing it's the space in the cloud
eight.jpg name, but that's just a guess.

Dillo has a Bugmeter and threw out these two lines, FWIW:
