I wasn't much into Shelby's - I've never been a Mustang fan.

Shelby was going to put a Chevy in the Cobra originally. But Ford would
sell him 500 motors on consignment. Iacocca's memoirs tell the story of
going to see Shelby, a former F1 world champion and thinking the motors are
all at a big factory and finds out he is storing the motors in a rented
garage at a house in a middle class neighborhood.
