I had a friend in Kansas City in the 1960s who had a full-dress Cobra. He
let me drive it a couple of times during practice sessions on airport SCCA
circuits in Oklahoma and Arkansas. It was a real sports car, uncluttered
by the overdone-ness of today's corvettes and mustangs. It was also a
bitch to get around short, tight courses.

There were ill handling dragsters. I could go around a corner side by side
with most 289 Cid Cobras but when we hit the straightaway was like a fueler
dragster compared to my Vette. We gave away about 1200# weight. Was a 1950
suspension design AC Bristol with a bigger motor.
