Nobody expected the government to do anything, either. No Larry King, No Bill O'Rielly, No Oprah, No Chris Mathews and No Geraldo Rivera. No Shaun Penn, No Barbara Striesand, No Hollywood types to be found. Nope, we just melted the snow for water. Sent out caravans of SUV's to pluck people out of snow engulfed cars. The truck drivers pulled people out of snow banks and didn't ask for a penny. Local restaurants made food and the police and fire departments delivered it to the snowbound families. Don, Here's another sad story: http://www.canada.com/nationalpost/s...ebe952&k=54450 wow I found another one that is much closer to home, this makes me very sad because it happened in your city. See you don't even have to look outside of your city limits to feel sad. http://www.cbc.ca/cp/Atlantic/070110/t011021A.html I am really feeling depressed now, all those Canadians dying up above the US border really makes me depressed. Why would you want to cut and paste an article about someone you didn't know, dying in New Orleans (a city you don't live in), when you could cut and paste 100's even 1000's of other articles about Canadians being killed by Canadians. All of those people have family members who are now grieving because they have lost a loved one. What made this one person more important than all the others who have lost family members to a violent death. It might make more sense for you to cut and paste obits and news articles about death to alt.obituaries, than rec.boats. Some how I find it hard to believe with all of the deaths that occur every day, that you cut and pasted a news article about a Canadian who died in N.O. because you felt sorry for the family, and wanted us to share in your grief and help you through this stressful time. To me it seemed like a really **** poor troll about guns in America and how violent America is. So forgive me if I find it hard to believe that you shared that article so we can offer the family members our condolences about their lose, see I thought it you was just you trolling for a political fight. |

Previously they pretended to take the high road while admonishing anyone who didn't dance to their tune. Now just the opposite. Notice how the behavior of the three leading sheriff/judges has dramatically dropped . I think they plan to undercut the worse of the worst. We'll see if that strategy works. |

Just call me obtuse, but we're 3-4 posts into this thread and for the life of me I can't figure out what the boating, fishing, navigation, watersport or remotely related angle is. Can't find it in the first one, or any of the follow-ups. Is this the most appropriate place on the entire internet for this topic? That would seem pretty unlikely. Why "waste" it here, when there are groups that would really appreciate the political opinions, etc? Signed...."Obtuse" :-) Entirely my fault your lordship. I'll find out the name of the gun manufacturer and what brand bullets. I'll then promote them shamelessly. Would that please your lordship? ????? All I asked was that somebody explain to me what the boating related angle of this item might be. I can't think of anyone else but you who has boating on his/her mind 24/7/365. We could fill up rec.boats with 1000's of posts of untimely deaths, or wait, maybe it would make more sense to post them in alt.obituaries. I didn't think my comment was funny, but I did think Don's OT POST was a really sick way to turn this families tragedy into a classic rec.boats troll. In fact, this might be the lowest type of troll I have ever seen . You are one sad, pathetic, sick puppy Smithers. I'm glad you've been outed. Looks like my post has had one positive result. Don, At least I don't use someone's death as an avenue to troll for a flamefest. That woman who died is ashamed that you would use her death for such a sick troll. Looks like that's exactly what you're doing. If I ever stoop to your level with that type of behavior, I would expect every poster here to kick my butt out of the newsgroup...and unlike you, I would be so ashamed I'd slink quietly away. I have certain minimal standards I 'd never slip under. You can bank on that! |
