That's an honour Jim & I haven't earned yet. I see John is still obsessed with me. I hope someday he gets a life. Hey...he gave his boat to his kids, and he golfs in the 100's...life is tough for Herring. And imaging having to go through life with that mug of his. Ouch! It figures that his best buddy here is also boatless. The 2 of them deserve each other. |

Don, this was the only honest statement you have made today, Your post was designed to stir up some ****, and you are glad it happened, after all, as you said, that is the only reason you come to rec.boats. It's getting to the point where you're hardly worth an answer.... but here goes... show me exactly where I said I only come here to stir up some ****. Don, You have stated many many times that "My mission is to lift the rocks to expose their underneath to the light of day" As you just stated you made this post to show if this poor American/Canadian had not gone back to the USA, she would still be alive. So you have admitted that you used this woman's death as a troll to highlight how dangerous it is to live in the USA and supported your "mission" of troll for political fights. I know you will not be embarrassed about it, but you should be. |

Don White wrote: Here's a sad story. http://www.cbc.ca/canada/nova-scotia...r-funeral.html Nothing lost, after all, he was a Canadian. Smithers... you're suprising me. Why stoop to the level of a Dan, Fritz or Jack Goff. At one time you seemed a step above this. Coming out of the closet? Besides, the 'Canadian' survived his three wounds. His wife, who was born & raised in the Carolinas, came to Halifax to become a Canadian citizen and then went back home to help wherever she could.....died leaving her children motherless. Smithers will come back and tell you the remark was in jest, but the reality is, he's the same sort of scume as Dan, Fritz, Goff, and our latest group of "anonymous" new posters. Does that include osudad? Shortwave? All the others who are not so naive as to post a bunch of personal information to be used against them? -- ****************************************** ***** Have a super day! ***** ****************************************** John H Poor harry.....bitter as ever. Poor Fritz, as dumb as ever. Even had to change his handle, because everyone disliked him so. |

JimH wrote: I can't think of anyone else but you who has boating on his/her mind 24/7/365. But that's really not true. When a person logs onto the boating NG, he or she is most likely there to discuss boats or boating. Sort of like tuning in your bigscreen, I'd think. If you go to the All-NFL cable channel, you would be surprised to find Oprah Winfrey or the Larry King Live show, right? Maybe halfway through an afternoon of combat footage on The History Channel suddenly Martha Stewart cuts in to discuss how to cut festive holiday decorations from colored craft paper? Point being, just like you do at home with your TV set I try to "tune in" different venues appropriate for different interests. If I want to argue politics, (and I often do), there are places where that's appropriate. If I want to discuss metaphysics, theology, or philosophy (and I often do), there are places were that's appropriate. If I wanted to run one of these silly "blogs" and pretend that anybody really gave a ratz arse what I ate for breakfast or the names of the distant relatives that dropped over during the holidays, there are places where that's appropriate as well. The only thing sillier than failing to be surprised when Martha Stewart shows up on The History Channel would be trying to argue that she really needs to tolerated or even encouraged to interrupt the expected programming based based on some "freedom of speech" argument. If you've got multiple interests, that's exactly why there is more than one discusssion forum on the internet. (IMO) Here is something you may want to build so you stay better focused when not on the boat and sleeping on the hard.: http://plans4wood.com/tugboat.htm Toot, toot! Thanks Jim. I already own a fully functional version of a "tug" so I don't need to build a toy. Do drop me a line if you're coming out to the coast, you have a standing invitation to go for a boat ride. :-) |

The last time I was in your neck of the woods was over a dozen years ago when I flew into Seattle from Sacramento to visit a customer in Wenatchee. You certainly live in a beautiful part of the country. |
