FORD wants me.
Harry,
Around here, there's a local guy is the worst to try to sell a new vehicle to. He rants and raves and dickers about pricing almost to the point of being an emberrassment. He even goes as far as telling the dealer to take their name sticker off the back. He says, either that or knock off another $100.00. He then tells them that he's not advertising for them, unless they want to pay him cash, or give him an additional discount. Man! Harry Krause wrote: The consortium of local FORD dealers sent me an email offering me 0% financing on any 06 or 07 model for SIX years AFTER I make my best deal offer. I'm holding out for a better offer. I think FORD should give me a new truck and pay me monthly for storage charges. That, and a fuel allowance, and I might just stop by and see the dealers. |

I agree with the guy. If the dealership wants me to advertise for them
they can pay me. Also, I don't buy tee shirts from commercial businesses, if you want me to advertise for you then give me the tee shirt for free. Wow ...that advertising would be worth more than the Super Bowl spots! I'm surprised more business don't line up to offer you free merchandise. |

Out here in SoCal you NEVER see a dealer even dare to try and put a sticker on the car (they use license plate frames that are easily removable). You always know when you see a car with a dealer sticker, it was originally not from here. I can't imagine the mentality that leads you midwesterners and easterners to allow someone to plunk his sign on your property you just handed him $20-$50K for the privilege to have. |

FORD wants me.
I remember the days before the stickers, and dealerships used to get
they're own personalized emblems and drill holes in the trunk lids and lock them in. akheel wrote: "Tim" wrote in news:1165691867.925735.131920@ 79g2000cws.googlegroups.com: Harry, Around here, there's a local guy is the worst to try to sell a new vehicle to. The sticker is nothing BUT an advertisement, and should come at a cost. |
