It's supposed to get a little colder tonight, low 30's. Don't buy your
flares any earlier than necessary, they have expiration dates on them. I'd
wait until the start of boating season and check the dates.

Yes,John. I don't have plans on getting them just to sit around the
winter. But simply getting my "ducks in a row"

Good, you were sounding like you were going to go buy some tonight. Flares
can be ordered online:

for example. They also have the cheaper ones.

FWIW, I have this set:

But, I don't go bluewater fishing so I'm not worried about my flares being
visible for 20 miles.

absolutely beautirful weather today. High 40's almost no breeze and
sunny. Just got back from splitting a bunch of wood for dad, and am
getting ready to get a haircut, pick up a bunch of candles for our
Candlelight Christmas service at Church, maybe go by the boat shop, if
they're still open, and tonight take the wife out for dinner.

really nice day!

Good luck with dinner.

Today our temp climbed to the early 50's, which made golfing enjoyable.

We were into the 50's up here. Thought it would be warmer way down there.

Where the hell did you get those? :)

Probably the same store that Eisboch got his ohm meter... ?:-0

Actually, probably in effect they would be fine, but I would suspect
that officially, not acceptable on inspection.

Effect would be great. I used a yellow one to get rid of some
groundhogs on my uncles farm.

But true, I don't think the CG or Dept. of Conservation would go for it.

Ugh! I asked the missus where she wanted to eat tonight, and she said
"I haven't been to Burger King in a while, lets go there..." I can't
believe it! out of the better eat places around ehre, she wants to go
to Burger King!

Anyhow, back on weather. it's about 33 outside,a nd looks like little
clouds are starting to roll in. humidity is picking up. getting really
chilly feeling. *UGH!* No breeze though.

It's sad to think of about 1/4 mil. people in the St. Louis area
without power for the second say or so. Ice build up on the electric
poles brought them down all over the city.

It wasn't "cold" today, but the 25 Mph/21 Knot/43.23 Kph wind gusts
kept the wind chill in the teens.

F'n winter... :)

MORE GLOBAL WARMING!!!

Well, you can't hold it, and you can't drop it in the boat, so how would
you use it? At night it probably wouldn't be too effective.

This is clearly an example of how bad the global warming situation has

Stop driving.

Stop heating your home.

Measure your carbon footprint immediately.

This is a crisis.

If you don’t care for anyone else then at least care for me. Even if you

This was a workday and I couldn’t go golfing (Oops! I mean) the end of the
world as we know it is near!

Tom (and man am I sweating)

Ps Disregard the record-breaking low temperatures the rest of the United
States is experiencing. Only focus on the northeast, WE are the world.
No-one else is. I know this for a FACT, I’ve heard it from the really
smart rich scientists up here.
