Great striper fishing in the reefs around Alcatraz. Plus we have anchored
there for Fleet Week air shows.

I was in San Francisco on business 15 or so years ago. My wife went with me
and we had a great time there. It was fleet week and we saw the Pacific
fleet come in. Unfortunately it was foggy and the air show was called off.

I remember a boat anchored in the Bay in the path of a destroyer coming in.
The USCG told the guy to bring up anchor and more. He did not.........at
least until he saw the destroyer heading directly towards him............so
close that he had to cut anchor in order to avoid being run over.

Very nice waterfront and a great city to visit.

Too bad they insist you let them have access to your computer for the
spammers with Adobe Flash 9 and Active X....which is foolish to do.

That's how the crapware gets installed, you know.....

Looks to be recent pictures too. Must be just before Memorial Day since the
pool cover's still on.

Uh, no. It needs only Flash and that's not how junk gets installed. Stick
with what you know, err, well, something at least that isn't clearly what
you DON'T know.

Very nice. I went to some of the places where I've kept my boat and
found it in one of them:

http://marinas.com/view/marina/5844

Easiest way to see it is to go to the last photo (3rd one down) and
zoom in on the leftmost row of boats next to the large building. I'm
the sailboat that's the 9th boat from the bottom. It's in slip 10 but
9 (the one below me) is unoccupied. This picture must be about 2
years old because before that I was in a different slip and after that
they dredged the marina. It looks like this was taken before the
dredging.

I also used to spend a lot of summers at this one but I wasn't there
when these pictures were taken:

http://marinas.com/view/marina/6129

I spent a winter at this one:

http://marinas.com/view/marina/4247

I also spent a year near this one:

http://marinas.com/view/marina/136

It wasn't actually at that marina but at one of the private docks
that's visible in some of the photos.

I've spent a little time (a week or two here and there) at these also:

http://marinas.com/view/marina/1027
http://marinas.com/view/marina/4492

I would do my annual short haul out at one of these two:

Thanks for the website.

Nice site. Thanks Bill.

Our first marina, Copper Kettle Marina:

http://marinas.com/view/marina/601

We then moved to Beaver Park Marina:

http://marinas.com/view/marina/592

Sold the 21 footer and purchased a 27 footer and moved to Valley Harbor
Marina:

http://marinas.com/view/marina/796

Sold the 27 footer and purchased a 32 footer and moved to Huron Lagoons
Marina

http://marinas.com/view/marina/614

Sold the 32 footer and eventually bought a 20 footer after going boatless
for a year. We docked this year at Valley Harbor Marina and are moving to
Romps Marina (not listed on the marinas.com site)

http://www.romps.com/

Our next and last move will be with the boat docked on our property when we
purchase our waterfront retirement house in the next few years. ;-)
