I don't know about Skipper, but I think one of the funniest, long
running threads ever posted on this NG was the great bilge pump debate
between Marcus and Mrs. B. I forget who Mrs B. was but I remember she
submitted a picture of a weird, Rube Goldberg type contraption as her
"boat" on the original "Boats of Rec.Boats" website.

I was responsible for that one. At that time, the Bayliner fishing boat
sides wobbled if you pressed into them with your hand.

Ah, but Skipper corrected you. They were purpose-built and supposed to
