COFFEE THREAD!!!!! Ok, so what do you consider a good cup of mass produced and marketed coffee? By the way, one of the best cups of coffee I've ever had was at Bien Hoa AFB in Bien Hoa, SVN. We were there supporting the APE battalion during the first Tet Offensive and while assembling in a hanger, I grabbed a cup from a AF Master Sgt who was handing them out. Took a sip, said "damn Sarge, that's good". He says - "We clean the pots on a regular basis - with diesel fuel". About a 3' by 5' portrait taken with infra-red so that the 'hot spots' really stood out? (At least that was the story I was given by my brother, an SF captain.) When the sirens went off at Bien Hoa, and the mortars started coming in, these folks just ordered another beer! |

Eisboch It's no more stupid than football, basketball, baseball, soccer, or any other popular sport, except fishing, of course. And fishing's only good if you can walk on water for the exercise. Only a few of us here can do so. |

If not, then why am I tired after walking 18 holes? I was joking about the exercise, and know it's better exercise than plenty of other activities. Heck, OJ Simpson, probably the most famous golfer in the world, is in pretty good shape for his age. When my golfer pals mention a round I usually ask them if they ran into OJ. Unless they're raving about how beautiful the course was. Than I ask them if they had a problem getting the greens chemicals off their shoes. So you can see I'm pretty neutral about golf. Of course, I could just be jealous. --Vic |
