I knew I'd stump you if I showed you something without an ignition key.

It's not snowing on Das Boot in my yard.

Although it's cold enough - or so it feels that way.

I can buy house, car and boat insurance at reasonable rates.

I can enter the water without fear of being eaten, attacked or stung.

I can enjoy the change of seasons.

I can snow ski in January and water ski in June.

I can leave my house in July without sweating my arse off.

I can purchase a house at a reasonable rate.

Florida? Not for me. ;-)

In the Ranger, it's only as far as the nearest launch ramp.

From Fall River where I used to be, maybe 30 miles - a little more.

Why?

Last night I was half thinking of taking the GB out for a little cruise
today (Saturday) but 60 something miles round trip would take all day.
It's getting too late in the season now anyway .... both boats have been
pretty much stripped and are about to be buttoned up for the winter. I
think they are hauling the GB any day now.

I'll do it sometime with Mrs.E. when I can reserve a slip or mooring for a
night or two and maybe we can hook up for dinner. If I still have the
Navigator next year maybe I'll take it instead and we could meet someplace.

If you like snow the strip between Buffalo and Rochester is the place to be.
They ski in July up there.
