Regardless of prize money, it's a a great idea!
-Jim Shortwave Sportfishing wrote: So I had this idea while working on the Ranger this afternoon. To wit: I'm sponsoring a contest for rec.boats participants. The rules are simple The rules: 1 - There must be a minimum of fifteen participants in the Tall Tale contest for the prizes to be put into effect. 2 - The Tall Tale must be fiction or at the very least, told in the fashion of sitting around the bar going somebody one better. 3 - The Tall Tale must involve boating, cruising or fishing or a combination of those subjects. 4 - The Tall Tale must be sent to me via email - I will publicly acknowledge who has sent a tale here on rec.boats and repost it to rec.boats. 5 - I will ask for a panel of non-participants in this contest to judge the entries. The Prizes: First Place - $75 Second Place - $25. Third Place - haven't figured that out yet. So, before sending me your entries, what do you folks think - good idea? |
