It's very comforting to be crunching a nice apple while just observing the splendor of open water. What kind of comfort foods do you take with you on a trip? For some reason, nothing tastes any better (to me) out on the boat than a steaming bowl of canned chili. Grilled cheese sandwich on "interesting" bread is a close second, as well as scrambled eggs. Snacks: Fruit and crackers. Cheese. Carrot sticks. Don't do candy or chips on the boat, but we will eat candy ashore and it seems that everywhere we meet up with boaters we know they offer us a bowl of chips so we get our share of those as well. |
